She has won 31 career titles on the PWBA Tour to rank. Kulick was the first woman to win the PBA Tournament of Champions and the first female to be signed to a PBA tour.
She also has won two other major tournaments, including the 2009 USBC Queens, where she became only the second woman in history (after Liz Johnson) to bowl a 300-game in a nationally televised competition.
Kulick was introduced to bowling at age 3 by her parents, Bob and Sharon Kulick, both of whom are lifelong bowlers. She started competing at the age of 4. At 16, Kulick earned a place on the Professional Women’s Bowling Association tour (in 1992) after winning the PWBA’s Northern Ohio qualifying tournament.
Kulick completed her college education at the University of Akron, where she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1997 and is an inducted member of Phi Beta Kappa. Kulick was awarded the 2002 Honda Sports Award for bowling, recognizing her as the outstanding female bowler of the year.
Kulick is married to fellow bowler Jason Couch, who won the PBA Rookie of the Year in 2001 and has 12 PBA titles in his career. On January 18, 2006, Kulick gave birth to their daughter Kayla Savannah Couch at home.
In 2005, Kulick was a member of the US team in the inaugural Women’s World Team Championships held in Malaysia. In March 2006, Kulick won the US Women’s Open, defeating Liz Johnson in the final match.
This made Kulick only the second woman after Liz Johnson to win a USBC-sponsored tournament on the PBA Tour. Kulick won her third major when she teamed with Joe Scarborough to take the Mixed Doubles title.
