Al b Sure (born Albert Joseph Brown III on June 4, 1968) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and former lead singer of the R&B group Ruben Studdard. Educated at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, he rose to fame in 1987 as the frontman of R&B quartet Al B. He has since gone on to have a successful solo career with hits like “Off On Your Own (Girl)” and “Nite and Day.”
